‘Been Thinking About You’ is a nostalgic, jazzy cut from Lizzie Reid. Her band provides a laid-back beat full of shuffling snare, subtle bass and wavy chords throughout most of the track, but every now and again, we’re taken into a rising hook punctuated by suddenly aggressive drums. The very personal idea that sparked the song is explained by Lizzie as “almost an appreciation song for a friend of mine. He was such a support for me at a time I wasn’t feeling my best. I was going through quite a confusing time and felt guilty that I couldn’t support him in the same way he supported me.” Her debut EP is due for release on February 10^th, and is called Cubicle. -Dan Peeke
